Carissa (She/Her) is a registered Physiotherapist and the founder of NextForm Rehab & Wellness. She holds a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from McMaster University. Her passion for physiotherapy stems from a deep fascination with the human body’s resilience and its ability to adapt, recover, and thrive.
Carissa’s approach combines clinical expertise with whole-person care. She believes in empowering clients to take control of their health through education, movement, and hands-on treatment. Whether supporting pelvic health, guiding recovery from injury, or building strength for everyday life, her goal is to help people move with purpose and confidence. Ashton joins NextForm Rehab & Wellness as a Resident Physiotherapist, bringing a strong academic foundation with a Master’s of Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto, preceded by a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from McMaster University. Passionate about empowering patients through movement, Ashton is dedicated to helping people return, and continue doing the activities they love. Taking a holistic and evidence-based approach, Ashton focuses on identifying the root cause of an injury to develop targeted treatment plans that promote optimal recovery, improve function, and prevent future issues. He blends manual therapy techniques with tailored exercise prescription to meet each individual’s unique needs and goals.
